1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MiniFiles.io, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

MiniFiles.io is a browser-based file processing tool that provides:

• Compression of image files: PNG, JPEG, JPG, WebP, GIF
• Compression of PDF documents
• Password protection of PDF documents (user password and owner permissions)
• WebP format conversion

All file processing happens entirely within your web browser. Files are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through MiniFiles servers. A Free tier is available at no cost. A Pro subscription unlocks additional features (see Pricing).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MiniFiles.io only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you hold the rights to process any file you submit to the tool
• Not using the service to process illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Not attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service infrastructure
• Complying with applicable data protection laws when processing files that contain personal data belonging to third parties

4. PDF Password Protection

MiniFiles provides a tool to add password protection to PDF files locally in your browser. You are solely responsible for: (a) selecting appropriate passwords, (b) storing passwords securely, and (c) complying with any applicable laws when applying or removing access controls from documents. MiniFiles does not store, recover, or have access to any password you set.

5. Accounts and Subscriptions

A free account can be created with an email address. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to Pro features continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your files. MiniFiles.io does not claim any ownership over files you process. The MiniFiles.io name, logo, and service design are our exclusive property.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

MiniFiles.io is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific compression ratios, specific output quality, or uninterrupted availability. The PDF password protection feature uses industry-standard algorithms but we make no warranty regarding the security strength of any specific password chosen by the user.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MiniFiles.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Because files are processed locally and never stored by us, we accept no liability for any data loss occurring on your device.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your country of residence.
